Edison, N.J. –Iona College’s Maya Rehberg and Monmouth University's McLean Lipschutz has been named Corvias ECAC Division I Metro/Upstate Women's and Men’s Track & Field Athlete of the Week for April 21st.

Rehberg set a new Iona record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase event at the 56th Annual Mt. SAC Relays hosted by Mt. San Antonio College. Rehberg finished the race in 10:07.61 and topped the mark held by teammate Regina Neumeyer (10:17.75) by more than 10 seconds. She finished eighth overall in the Invitational Elite section of the event and was the No. 2 collegiate performer. Boise State's Marisa Howard crossed less than a half second in front of Rehberg. The time stands as the eighth fastest on the 2014 NCAA Division I Outdoor Qualifying list and sixth fastest on in the East region.

At the Greyhound Invitational at Moravian this past weekend, Monmouth's sophomore McLean Lipschutz won the javelin with a 238-foot throw, beating the second place finisher by a whopping 24 feet. His mark not only cleared ECAC qualifying standards by 17 feet, it also came on his final throw of the day to jump into the lead and win the event. Currently, his mark from this past weekend is good for eighth in the nation, and is the longest throw in the MAAC this season.
