2014 MAAC Men's Lacrosse Championship Field Set

Edison, N.J. – The 2014 MAAC Men’s Lacrosse Championship is set to start on Thursday, May 1 at Tenney Stadium at Leonidoff Field on the campus of Marist College.
The first semifinal features top-seed Siena College against fourth-seed Canisius College at 4:00pm. The second semifinal features second-seed Marist College against third-seed University of Detroit Mercy at 7pm. The championship game will take place Saturday, May 3 at 11am. The semifinal games will air live on MAAC.TV and the championship final will be broadcast on ESPN3 and Time Warner Cable.
The 2014 Men’s Lacrosse banquet will be held on Wednesday, Apr. 30 at 7pm and can be viewed live on MAAC.TV for free.
The top-seed and regular season champions, Siena College, finished the regular season with a 9-5 overall record and a perfect 6-0 conference record. This is the fourth undefeated season the Saints have had in the last 6 seasons. They will face fourth-seed Canisius College, who completed their season with an overall record of 7-7 and a 3-3 record in league play. The two teams previously faced off in Loudonville on Mar. 29 with the Saints earning a 10-7 victory over the Golden Griffins.
The second-seeded Marist Red Foxes finished the year with a 5-8 overall record and a 3-3 record in the MAAC. They will play, the third-seeded Detroit Titans, who ended their 2014 campaign with an overall record of 6-7 and conference record of 3-3. The two teams faced off in last’s year MAAC Championship semifinal with Detroit upsetting top-seeded Marist to advance to the championship final for the first time in school history. More recently, the Titans earned a close 12-11 victory over the Red Foxes back on Apr. 5.
