Siena Wins 2014 MAAC Women's Golf Championship

Lake Buena Vista, Fla. – Siena College claimed its 13th conference title at the 2014 MAAC Women's Golf Championship at Disney's Palm Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista, Fl.

Siena was led by the 2014 McLeod Trophy recipient Kylie Strijek who posted a three-day total +23 (239), good enough for top of the leaderboard.

The Saints posted a 3-day total of 931. Quinnipiac University finished in second with a tournament total of 1005, and The University at Albany secured third place with a score of 1007.  Monmouth University earned fourth place (1012) followed by Fairfield University and the University of Hartford tied for fifth place (1016).  Rounding out the tournament was Niagara University (1,034).

Siena College’s Dave Wronowski was voted the 2014 MAAC Women's Golf Coach of the Year.

Nicole Scola from Quinnipiac University was named the 2014 MAAC Rookie of the Year with an individual championship score of +30 (246).

The NCAA women's golf selection show will broadcast live on the golf channel at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 28.
