Saint Peter's Wins 2014 MAAC Men's Golf Championship

Lake Buena Vista, Fla. - Saint Peter’s University claimed its first conference title at the 2014 MAAC Men's Golf Championship at Disney's Palm Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista, Fl.
The Peacocks posted a 3-day total of 931 (+67). Monmouth University finished in second tied with Fairfield University with a score of 934. Manhattan College came in fourth with 935, followed by Iona College (950), Siena College (955), Canisius College (958), Rider University (959), and Niagara University (995).
Canisius’ Cory Cullen was named 2014 Men’s Golf Rookie of the Year, Cullen posted a 243 three-day total and shot at +8 over in the final round (82).
Saint Peter’s University’s Peter Falloon was voted the 2014 MAAC Men's Golf Coach of the Year.
Alex Taylor from Fairfield University earned the McLeod Trophy for top individual score at the championship with an overall score of 225 (+9).
The NCAA men's golf selection show will broadcast live on the golf channel at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 5.
