Edison, N.J. – Following another weekend of MAAC competition, the MAAC Offensive Player of the Week is Amy Olsen of Iona College. The MAAC Defensive Player of the Week is the Seahawk’s goalkeeper Emily Riddle, while the MAAC Rookie of the Week is Bailey Huddleston of VMI.

Senior Amy Olsen tallied 21 points over four games for the Gaels on 18 goals and three assists, highlighted by a five goal, three assist effort against Villanova.  Olsen scored seven goals as the Maroon & Gold opened the weekend with a 13-2 win over Siena.  Olsen added two goals against Marist before a four goal effort against Wagner in the weekend finale.  Olsen additionally drew 13 kickouts on the weekend, including five against Marist and three against Wagner, to go along with seven steals.

The freshman goalie Emily Riddle had her most impressive stretch of the season over this past weekend, saving 37-of-58 shots in the net, while also recording three steals and adding four assists. Riddle helped Wagner to its first shutout win since March 31, 2012, saving 11 shots in a 17-0 win over St. Francis Brooklyn, while also posting one steal and two assists in the victory. Riddle saved 12 shots in a 9-7 win over Iona, which gave Wagner the programs first regular season sweep of the Gaels since 2005. The freshman added five saves in an 11-5 win over Villanova, while saving nine shots in a 19-9 win over VMI.

It was another productive week for Huddleston, a VMI freshman. The rookie put away 16 goals, scoring at least once in every MAAC game this weekend. She was a juggernaut on Sunday, scoring 12 goals in two games. Huddleston nearly out-scored St. Francis Brooklyn herself as VMI collected a 16-9 win over the Terriers, marking the first time in program history VMI beat a MAAC foe twice in the same season.
