MAAC Women's Lacrosse Semifinals Faceoff in Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y. – 2014 Women’s Lacrosse Championship will be held at Demske Sports Complex on the campus of Canisius College in Buffalo, N.Y. on starting today at 5 p.m. Canisius College, Fairfield University, Marist College, and Monmouth University have all secured their spots in the upcoming championship.
Marist College (13-3, 7-1) is the top seed and will face Monmouth University (8-9, 5-3), the No. 4 seed in the first semifinal matchup. The Red Foxes and the Hawks face off at 5:00 p.m. Monmouth narrowoly took the regular season game between the two teams, 12-11.
Canisius College (10-6, 6-2) and Fairfield University (12-4, 7-1) last met on April 26 with the Stags claiming a victory and earning the No. 2 seed for the championship. Canisius holds the No. 3 seed as the two teams face off again at 8:00 p.m. in the second semifinal of the night.
The title game between the winners of each semifinal will be held on Sunday, May 4 at 1:00 p.m. and will be broadcast live on Time Warner Cable and ESPN3. Both semifinal contests will be broadcast live on MAAC.TV.
