Player of the Week
Brett Siddall - Canisius
Sophomore, OF, 6-0, 201, Windsor, Ontario/Wndsor
The MAAC Player of the Week is Brett Siddall. The Canisius slugger went 8-for-13 at the plate, with eight RBI and four runs scored, as the Golden Griffins wrapped up the MAAC regular-season title and extended the nation’s longest winning streak to 16 games. Siddall also recorded four walks and was hit by a pitch to post a .722 on-base percentage. Siddall had three doubles and a triple to register a 1.000 slugging percentage on the week. He had at least one hit and one RBI in each game, including a 4-for-4 performance with three RBI in the 15-4 series opener against Monmouth.
Pitcher of the Week
John Daddino – Iona
Sophomore, RHP, 6-0, 215, Franklin Square, NY/Carey
The MAAC Pitcher of the Week is John Daddino. Daddino led the Gaels to a 3-2, 12-inning win over Rider in the middle game of a three-game series with the Broncs. Daddino pitched 4.1 innings, allowed just one base runner and struck out eight to earn his second win. Daddino came on in the eighth inning of a tie game for the Gaels. With a runner on third and two outs, he inherited a 1-0 count to the batter. He needed four pitches (all strikes) to strike out the Rider batter. Daddino then registered two K’s in the ninth, one in the 10th and stuck out the side in the 11th inning. His most impressive out may have been the last when he fielded a sharp ground ball right through the box that knocked him off the back of the mound. He threw a "no-look" ball to first base while on the ground to end the inning, and in the process firing up the Gaels, who responded with the walk-off win. Daddino lowered his season ERA to 1.04.

The MAAC Rookie of the Week is Jose Carrera. Carrera continued his hot hitting with four base hits in seven at-bats in a three-game sweep of Saint Peter's that propelled the Jaspers into the MAAC Baseball Championships. Carrera reached base at a .636 clip, had an .857 slugging percentage and was an offensive catalyst throughout the weekend. Carrera hit safely in each game, including a 2-for-3 effort in game one, a 5-3 Manhattan victory. In game two, Carrera drove in Manhattan's first run of the game with a line drive sacrifice fly in the first inning. In the sixth inning, with the score still 1-0, he tripled to right-center and darted home to score on a wild pitch with two outs, giving Manhattan a key insurance run in its 2-0 win. In Saturday's series finale, Carrera was on base three times in four trips, stole two bases and scored two runs in the Jaspers' 5-2 victory.
