Junior, RHP/OF, Hornell, N.Y./Hornell

Jordan Schwartz capped a stellar season with a complete-game win over NJIT earlier in May to reach 95.1 innings pitched this season, a new single season program record, and five complete games on the year, which ranked him 10th in the NCAA. His 109 total strikeouts led the conference and placed the junior 13th in the nation, while his 10.29 strikeouts per nine innings also led the MAAC and placed 16th in the country. Schwartz was named to the All-MAAC Second Team as a pitcher after making eight conference starts and posting a 2.78 ERA. He finished with 3-3 record while holding opposing batters to a .196 average at the plate. His performances this year earned him a MAAC player of the Week Award on Feb. 25 and a MAAC Pitcher of the Week Award on May 6.

The righty also found success in the classroom; he was named to the MAAC All-Academic team after posting a 3.20 GPA as a business major.

Mariah Toussaint – Monmouth University - Track and Field

Senior, Multi, Tulsa, Okla./Brooke Point/Midland

Mariah Toussaint became the first Hawk to ever qualify for the NCAA Division I Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championships when she competed in the long jump in February. She has won two MAAC Championships in Monmouth’s first year in the league, competing in multiple events to help MU to both the women’s indoor and outdoor titles. She also earned All-East accolades in both indoor and outdoor track, and was named the MAAC’s Most Outstanding Performer after the Outdoor Championships in early May. Toussaint has qualified for the NCAA Division I Eastern Preliminary Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Jacksonville, and is looking to advance to Nationals in Oregon.

At the Blue/White Invitational on January 11, Toussaint recorded a long jump of 20 feet, eight inches, which stood at the time as the top jump nationally for the indoor season. She won four events at that meet, also placing first in the 60 meter dash, the high jump and the 200 meter dash, propelling the Monmouth women’s team to a meet victory. Toussaint was named a Second Team All-American in Albuquerque after finishing 13th in the long jump, just 3.5 inches away from a spot in the finals.
