MAAC Announces 2014-2015 Sports Committees

Edison, N.J. – Following the MAAC spring meetings in Orlando, Florida, the conference is set to begin another exciting year of athletics and student athlete success. The MAAC’s sports committees have been selected for the 2014-2015 school year and the revised committee composition looks to help guide and accomplish all of the goals and achievements set forth by the conference for the interests of the MAAC student athletes.

“The MAAC’s ability to conduct successful regular season and championship sports operations is built on the experience and time commitment of the administrators and coaches who volunteer to serve on sports committees,” notes MAAC Commissioner Richard J. Ensor. 

Monmouth University’s Coordinator of Event Management, Charles Smith, will now take a seat on the MAAC Men’s Soccer Committee. Rick Cole Jr., Iona College’s Director of Athletics, will serve as the chair of the MAAC Volleyball Committee. Joining the MAAC Volleyball Committee will be Siena College’s Assistant Athletic Director for Development Daniel O’Brien and Quinnipiac University’s Associate Athletic Director Lyneene Richardson. Niagara University’s Associate Athletic Director and Senior Women’s Administrator Jessica Wheeler will now be the chair of MAAC Women’s Golf. Saint Peter’s University Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance and Senior Women's Administrator Katie Arcuri will now chair the MAAC Tennis Committee. Joining the MAAC Tennis Committee is Monmouth University’s Assistant Director of Athletics Jon Roos, Manhattan College’s Assistant Director of Athletics and Head Women’s Tennis Coach Amanda McEntire, and Allen Gibson, the Associate Director of Athletics at Fairfield University. Jason Rich, Siena College’s Assistant Athletic Director for Communications will join the MAAC Softball Committee. Manhattan College’s Director of Athletics Noah LeFevre, will chair the MAAC Baseball Committee. Joining the MAAC Women’s Lacrosse Committee is Manhattan College’s Senior Associate Director of Athletics and Senior Women’s Administrator Boe Pearman. Monmouth University’s Associate Athletic Director and Senior Women’s Administrator Rachelle Paul has joined the MAAC Women’s Basketball Committee. Joe Quinlan, Director of Athletics at Saint Peter’s University, will take over as the single chair of MAAC Cross Country. Rich Carragher, Assistant Director of Athletics of Event Management at Monmouth University, will join the MAAC Cross Country Committee.
