Doris Elected to 2014-15 Division I-AAA Athletic Directors Association Office; Quinlan & Ensor Serve on Executive Committee

EDISON, N.J. – Fairfield University Athletic Director Gene Doris has been elected 1st Vice President to serve the 2014-15 term for the Division I-AAA Athletic Directors Association. Joe Quinlan, Saint Peter’s University Athletic Director, and Rich Ensor, Commissioner of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference will continue to serve on the Executive Committee after serving one term in 2013-14.
Now in its 14th year, the Division I-AAA ADA strives to enhance initiatives common to its Division I-AAA membership, that is Division I institutions that do not sponsor football. In particular, the ADA promotes aspects related to its flagship basketball programs.
Doris, who now serves in his 21st year as Athletics Director at Fairfield, adds an officer position of the Division I-AAA ADA to his growing resume. He also served a term as president of the ECAC and has sat on the Division I-AA Athletic Directors Football Committee as well as a number of regional, national and MAAC committees. He is currently the chair of the MAAC Men’s Soccer committee.
Quinlan, the two-year Athletic Director at Saint Peter’s, will continue to serve on the Executive Committee for the Division I-AAA ADA. He will also serve as the chair of the MAAC Committee on Athletic Administration for the 2014-15 season.
Entering his 26th year as Commissioner of the MAAC Ensor has served on a number of committees. Along with the Division I-AAA ADA he also is currently serving on the Sports Lawyers Association Board, WBCA Board, Philadelphia Sports Congress Board, NCAA MBOLLC Board and on the NCAA Division I Administration Cabinet. In 2007, he served a five-year term on the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Committee.
