MAAC Announces 2013-14 Academic Honor Roll

EDISON, N.J. - A total of 1,968 student-athletes have been honored for academic achievements by being named to the 2013-14 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Academic Honor Roll.

To be eligible for the MAAC Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher on a 4.0 scale. The Honor Roll is open to both full-time and associate members in the MAAC. All 25 sports that the conference sponsors are represented.

Marist College leads the list of honored student-athletes with 235, followed by Fairfield University with 190 and Iona College with 168. Newcomers to the league, Monmouth University and Quinnipiac University each had 167 student-athletes named to the Honor Roll. Canisius College added 163, followed by Rider University (151), Siena College (147), Manhattan College (139), Niagara University (123) and Saint Peter’s University (104). Among the associate members, Robert Morris University, which competes in field hockey and women's rowing, has the most with 49 student-athletes.
