Radu Named MAAC Director of New Media for Broadcasting & Marketing

EDISON, N.J. – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference has named Sean Radu its Director of New Media for Broadcasting and Marketing, as announced by Commissioner Richard J. Ensor, Esq.
“Sean has proven himself to be an exceptional member of the staff this past year with his new media and marketing skills which resulted in upgrades to the MAAC’s media efforts and marketing collateral,” notes Ensor. “His background as a former baseball student-athlete and aspiring coach also provides the conference office with needed insights into student-athlete welfare concerns.”
As the Director of New Media, Radu will oversee the on-site operations of the MAAC’s broadcast package on ESPN’s family of networks including commercial placement, graphics and conference marketing elements. He will also handle sponsorship fulfillment for the MAAC’s corporate partners and be the primary liaison with ANC Sports Enterprises, the official sales agency of the MAAC, and conference marketing directors. Radu will spearhead the implementation of the new branding efforts with at the Times Union Center for the 2015 MAAC Basketball Championships
Radu started his career in college athletics as the Administrative Fellow for New Media and External Relations at the MAAC where he was the media relations contact for Men’s and Women’s Cross Country, Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving and Water Polo. He also assisted in the creation of graphics for the MAAC website and social media accounts. As part of his fellowship, Radu edited and distributed videos to promote the league and assisted at various championships, including the 2014 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball 2nd and 3rd rounds.
Before coming to the MAAC, Radu was an intern at Johnson & Wales University in its athletic department. He served as the assistant to the Executive Director of Athletics and was responsible for game day operations for several sports. He also has been a baseball coach and instructor for Ripken Baseball and Locked In Baseball.
A native of Fords, N.J., Radu is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University with a B.S. in Sport Management, Entertainment and Event Management and was a member of the baseball team.
