Wilson Offensive Player of the Week
Greta Vogel, Saint Peter’s

Vogel propelled Saint Peter’s with three second-half goals to lead the Peacocks to its first conference-opening win since 1999 with a 3-1 victory against Canisius on Thursday. The senior erased a 1-0 deficit with three tallies in a span of six minutes and 40 seconds to notch Saint Peter’s first hat trick since Kyle Marsh against Delaware State on Sept. 15, 2005. Vogel scored at 76:54 to even the match at 1 and then scored the decisive goal at 78:15 and then sealed the win with her third tally of the afternoon at 83:34. Vogel, an All-MAAC second-team selection last season, now has 10 career goals in three seasons in Jersey City with six of those goals coming against Canisius. It was Saint Peter’s first league win since stunning Marist 2-1 in double overtime on Oct. 21, 2012.
Wilson Defensive Player of the Week
Kristen Skonieczny, Manhattan
Jr., GK, 5-7, Lagrangeville, N.Y./Arlington
Skonieczny came up big against Niagara on Sunday, recording eight saves in the 1-1 draw. She stopped five shots in the second half, including two in the final five minutes of regulation. Skonieczny then kept it tied by denying the Purple Eagles after a corner kick early in the first overtime session. She made another key save in the second overtime, as Manhattan earned a tie despite being outshot 20-6 in the game.
Wilson Rookie of the Week
Marisa Bentley, Iona
Fr., F, 5-5, Blauvelt, N.Y./Tappan Zee
Freshman forward Marisa Bentley tallied the game-winning goal in the Gaels' lone contest of the week, a 2-1 double overtime victory over NJIT. In the 109th minute, teammate Charlotte Stuart lofted a throw-in towards the net which Bentley headed into the bottom of the right side for her second tally of the season, each coming in the Gaels’ last two games.
