Derek Maier, Canisius, Men's Soccer, Forward, Sr., 5-8, Clarence, N.Y./Clarence High School

Derek Maier, a senior forward from Clarence, N.Y., recorded his second goal of the 2014 season on Friday evening, as the Golden Griffins took on St. Bonaventure at the Demske Sports Complex. Maier scored on a header off of a feed from Alex De Carolis to give the Griffs the early 2-0 lead over Bonnies. Maier has four points this season on two goals, including a game winner against Bucknell. The senior forward is a Psychology major with a 3.33 cumulative GPA.

Anna Grant, Siena, Women's Soccer, Sr., 5-9 Stratham, N.H./Exeter

Grant is currently one of just 30 Division I candidates nationally and the first in Siena Women's Soccer history for the prestigious Senior CLASS Award. A double major in mathematics and computer science, she currently possesses a 3.85 and 3.92 GPA in each field respectively. Grant has been a three-time member of Siena Athletics' 4.0 Club for achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA during the given semester and has been named to the All-MAAC Academic Team and MAAC Academic Honor Roll in each year of eligibility. On the field, the Saints captain has been a four-year starter at center back and played every minute of every match last fall en route to being named a 2013 Second Team All-MAAC selection. She was named to the MAAC All-Rookie Team following her freshman season. She has started all nine matches that she has appeared in this fall, tallying a goal and an assist for three points.
