EDISON, N.J. – Emily Ritter from Rider University is the MAAC Women's Track Performer of the Week. The MAAC Men's Track Performer of the Week is Dylan Capwell from Monmouth University. Casey Sturts from Monmouth University is the MAAC Women’s Field Performer of the Week, while Clement Gicquel from Manhattan College earned the award on the men’s side.

Senior Emily Ritter from Rider University is the MAAC Women’s Indoor Track Performer of the Week. Ritter won the mile at Friday's Army Five-Way Invite hosted by the United States Military Academy. She defeated the 17-person field with a blistering time of 5:03.14, clearing the pack by over 4 seconds. Ritter also came in first place in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:17.87. She also helped her 4x800 meter relay team to a third place finish to a tune of 10:09.58. Currently this indoor season, Ritter owns the MAAC top spots in both the mile and 800 meters.

The MAAC Men's Indoor Track Performer of the Week is Sophomore Dylan Capwell from Monmouth University. At the Rutgers Invitational, Capwell finished in first place in the 1000-meter run. His IC4A qualifying time of 2:23.15 cleared the field of 10 runners by over 3 seconds. He also set a new school record in the process. To top it off, Capwell anchored the winning 4x800 relay team that bested the competition by 32 seconds.

Sophomore Casey Sturts from Monmouth University is the MAAC Women’s Indoor Field Performer of the Week. Sturts won the Rutgers Invitational pole vault with a vault of 3.60 meters, clearing the field by .10 meters. She also came in fourth place in the high jump with a jump of 1.50 meters.

The MAAC Men's Indoor Field Performer of the Week is Junior Clement Gicquel from Manhattan College. In the Army Five-Way Invite, Gicquel took home fourth place in the heptathlon with 3,548 points. During the seven events, Gicquel finished in fourth place in the 60-meter dash (7.84 seconds), first place in the long jump (6.38 meters), tied for first place in the shot put (12.22 meters), first place in the high jump (2.10 meters), and fourth place in the 60-meter hurdles (8.96 seconds). His 2.10 meter high jump propelled him into 13th place on the 2014-15 NCAA Indoor Track & Field leaderboard.

The 2015 MAAC Indoor Track & Field Championships will be held on February 21st at the New Balance Armory Track & Field.
