EDISON, N.J. – Fairfield freshman defender Angus Hastings and Siena freshman forward Alexander Tejera have been named to the College Soccer News All-Freshman Third Team. The two MAAC selections come from a pool of just 33 Division I freshmen honored by College Soccer News.

Previously, both Hastings and Tejera were named to the NSCAA/Continental Tire All-Northeast Region Third Team. Tejera was named to the All-MAAC Second Team and MAAC All-Rookie Team, while Hastings joined him as an All-Rookie team selection.

Hastings helped guide the Stags to the MAAC championship game while starting all 20 games as a back this year. The freshman recorded three shots this year in addition to his defensive play.

During the season Tejera tied for fifth in the MAAC in game-winning goals with three, tied for sixth in goals with six, and tied for eighth in scoring with 15 points. A two-time MAAC and ECAC Rookie of the Week, Tejera was selected as the MAAC's only unanimous selection to the All-Rookie Team.
