Bridgeport, PA – Wagner Water Polo received votes in the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Preseason National Top 20 poll.
The Seahawks gained two points and were the only Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) member to receive votes in the 2015 inaugural poll which slotted defending NCAA Champions Stanford first.
Wagner is one of just 24 teams to garner votes and came in slightly behind #20 Harvard.
The Green & White were featured in the top 20 at times last season, finishing 2014 just outside the rankings while receiving votes.
The Seahawks travel to Bloomington, Indiana this weekend for the Indiana Invitational were they will begin their season with a rematch of the 2014 MAAC Championship as they face-off against Marist, Saturday, January 24 at 3:00 PM.
Wagner, the defending MAAC Champion, was picked second in the 2015 MAAC Water Polo Preseason Coaches' Poll behind preseason favorite, Marist College.
