Poughkeepsie, N.Y. – The Marist water polo team is ranked in a tie for 20th place in this week’s Collegiate Water Polo Association poll. This is the first time that the water polo team has been nationally ranked since the 2011 season.
This ranking comes off of an impressive win over #9 Indiana this past weekend in the final game of the Indiana Kick Off. The Red Foxes led at the end of every quarter with scores of 3-2, 7-4, 8-6, and 9-8. Senior captains Hannah Levien (Davis, Calif.) and Anna-Lena Hathaway (South Pasadena, Calif.) and classmate Allison Hamby (Sacramento, Calif.) each contributed two goals in the match.
The 2015 MAAC Water Polo Championship will be held on April 25-26 at Marist College Natatorium in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
