Kristen Skonieczny – Manhattan
Women’s Soccer, Senior, Goalkeeper, Lagrangeville, NY / Arlington
As a senior for the Manhattan Jaspers, Kristen Skonieczny has a season record of 7-2-1 that includes six shutouts throughout the 2015 season and posting a .918 save percentage. Skonieczny has won two MAAC Defensive Player of the Week awards and ranks fourth nationally in save percentage (.918) and ninth nationally (0.41) for goals against average. Skonieczny now has 21 career wins and 14 career shutouts and needs just one win and two shutouts to match a Manhattan Jaspers career record in both categories. Skonieczny earns the Student-Athlete of the Week with also academic achievement by posting a 3.94 GPA with a major of Biology.
Connor Preece – Marist
Men’s Soccer, Senior, Midfield/Forward, Ballston Spa, NY / Ballston Spa
This is Connor Preece’s senior season for Marist College and on Oct. 10t , Preece knocked in the game-winning goal against Fairfield to help Marist remain unbeaten (4-0-1) in MAAC play this season. Preece had two shots on goal in the 2-1 contest and is tied for second on the Marist Red Foxes. Connor Preece is a business administration major and has been named to the MAAC conference’s All-Academic Team for the past two years. He appeared in all 18 games for the Red Foxes’ last season and earned CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-District honors. He was a co-president on Marist’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) during the 2014-2015 academic year.
