Offensive Player of the Week
Carlie Spaeder, Rider
Jr., F, 5-2, Newtown Square, PA / Cardinal O’Hara
Carlie Spaeder scored a natural hat trick and had seven points in the game as Rider won 4-3 at Villanova on October 11. Spaeder, who played all 70 minutes, had four shots in the game with three finding the back of the cage. She gave Rider a 1-0 lead 4:07 into the game and she broke a 1-1 tie in the 25th minute. Spaeder scored four minutes later to give Rider a 3-1 lead at intermission. After Villanova cut Rider’s lead to 3-2, Spaeder assisted on the final goal for the Broncs in the 58th minute. That goal loomed large as Villanova cut the deficit to 4-3 with less than five minutes left in the game.
Defensive Player of the Week
Christen Piersanti, Monmouth

Christen Piersanti backstopped the Hawks’ defensive unit in the Hawks’ 2-1 victory at Fairfield on Saturday. The sophomore recorded eight saves on the afternoon, including a critical stop on Fairfield’s last effort to tie to game on an attacking corner with time expired. In the one-game weekend, Piersanti recorded a 1.00 goals against average and a .889 save percentage, while increasing her career record to 5-1 in MAAC regular season games.
Rookie of the Week
Aubrie Bleier, Siena
Fr., F, 5-3, Pittsford, NY / Pittsford Sutherland
Aubrie Bleier recorded her first two collegiate points on two assists in the Saints 4-2 victory in the MAAC Opening win over Sacred Heart. She assisted on the first goal of the afternoon scored by Molly Hagen and then found herself back in the action when she assisted on a goal scored by Ashley Dona.
