Libero of the Week
Emma Aldaya – Rider University, So., Libero, Prospect Park, Pa.
Aldaya averaged 6.38 digs per set as the Broncs went 2-0 this past week. In a 3-1 win against Niagara, Aldaya had 17 digs and added three service aces. In a 3-1 win against Canisius, Aldaya had 34 digs including career dig number 1,000.
Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week
Daniel Huertas – Iona College, Fr., Forward, Madrid, Spain
The freshman continued his torrid offensive pace this season with two goals and an assist in Iona's 5-2 win over the Marist Red Foxes.
Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
Rachael Ivanicki - Monmouth University, Jr., Forward, Marlboro, N.J.
Ivanicki led Monmouth with seven points in two victories on the week, registering three goals and an assist for the Hawks. She recorded a pair of game-winners as well, increasing her team-lead in that category to five on the year. Ivanicki scored twice against Saint Peter’s, then added a goal and an assist in Monmouth’s win over Fairfield on Saturday.
Field Hockey Rookie of the Week
Jessica Randazzo – Rider University, Fr., Midfield, Media, Pa.
Randazzo continued her strong rookie campaign with six points last week, as the Broncs went 1-1. Against Fairfield, she scored the game-winning goal, snapping a 4-4 tie with 2:58 left in regulation. Randazzo also assisted on the first goal of the game that gave the Broncs a 1-0 lead. At Monmouth, Randazzo assisted on the opening goal of the game and scored two minutes into the second half to give Rider a 2-1 lead, before the Broncs eventually fell to Monmouth, 4-3.
