2015 MAAC Field Hockey Championship Field Set

Edison, NJ – The 2015 MAAC Field Hockey Championship field is set and will take place on Friday November 6 and Sunday November 8, at So Sweet a Cat Field on the campus of Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey.
Monmouth University (5-1) and Quinnipiac University (5-1) finished in a two way tie for first place and earned the co-regular season MAAC titles. By way of a tie breaker Monmouth earned the number one overall seed after defeating Quinnipiac 3-1 in regular season play giving the Hawks the right to host the championship.
Monmouth will take on number four seed Fairfield (3-3) Friday November 6 at 11:00am. In the regular season match up, the Stags fell to the Hawks, 2-1, with a goal from senior midfielder Cori Allen in the 65th minute.
Quinnipiac takes the number two seed and will play number three seeded Rider (4-2) on Friday November 6 at 2:00pm. In their regular season meeting, Quinnipiac defeated the Broncs, 3-2, with a goal from sophomore midfielder Dayna Barlow in overtime.
The championship final will be on Sunday November 8 at 11:00am. All three contest will be broadcasted live on MAAC.TV.
The winner of the 2015 MAAC Field Hockey Championship will receive an automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA Field Hockey Championship. The NCAA DI Field Hockey Selection Show will air on NCAA.com on Sunday November 8 at 10pm ET.
