Rider University Advances to Semifinals With 3-0 Win Over Quinnipiac

LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL – After a scoreless first half of action between second seeded Rider and tenth seeded Quinnipiac, the Broncs put three goals in the back of the net to advance to the 2015 MAAC Men’s Soccer Championship semifinals and will take on sixth seeded Siena College. Game time is set for Sunday, November 8 at 2:00 p.m. and will be broadcasted live on ESPN3.
The first goal for the Broncs came at the 46:04 mark in the second half by Sonimi Halliday on an assist from Adrien Huss. Nearly ten minutes later, at the 56:29 minute mark, Christian Flath scored on a direct kick from 35 yards out. The third and final goal for the Broncs was scored by Rory Duffy at the 78:51 mark of the second half.
Rider goalkeeper Ryan Baird recorded four saves in the shutout. Bobcats goalkeeper Triston Henry recorded five saves in the defeat. Matt Taylor and Erik Panzer recorded two shots each for Quinnipiac.
