Men’s Track Performer of the Week

Geordan Ferguson, Monmouth

Sr., Lakehurst, NJ/ Manchester

Ferguson placed first in the 60-meter hurdles finals at the Princeton New Year’s Invitational over the weekend, with an IC4A qualifying time of 8.03.  The senior beat out competitors from Princeton and Rider to take the first place title. 

Men’s Field Performer of the Week

Gustave Menocal, Manhattan

So., Bronx, NY/ Fordham Prep

Menocal placed first out of 18 competitors in the weight throw at the Wagner Seahawk Shootout with a personal best distance of 15.93 meters.  The sophomore from the Bronx also set a new personal best in the shot put, with a toss of 13.74 meters, finishing 7th out of 26 competitors. 

Women’s Track Performer of the Week

Jessica Lee, Quinnipiac

So., Montgomery, NJ/ Montgomery

 Lee won both the 60 meter hurdles and the 200 meter dash over the weekend at the Wagner Seahawk Shootout.  Lee won the 60 meter hurdles event with a time of 8.70 seconds, setting a new Quinnipiac record.  Lee won the 200 meter dash with a personal best time of 25.89, and beat out 28 other competitors. 

Women’s Field Performer of the Week

Carly Timpson, Quinnipiac

Fr., Narragansett, RI/ Narragansett

 Timpson finished first in both the high jump and weight throw events at the Wagner Seahawk Shootout.  In the high jump, the freshman from Narragansett, RI recorded a 1.65 meter performance, winning her second straight high jump event in her young career.  In the weight throw, Timpson beat out 13 other competitors to finish first with a throw of 15.37 meters.
