Iona's Daniel Huertas Named ECAC Rookie of the Year

DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced its 2015 Division I Men’s Soccer All-Star Team on, as voted on by representatives from the Division’s member institutions.
Iona College’s Daniel Huertas collected Rookie of the Year accolades.
Huertas finished his first season of college competition with a league-leading 23 points on nine goals and five assists, with his nine goals standing as the most by any player in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. A league-best four of those nine strikes stood as game-winners as well. Huertas was selected as a 2015 National Soccer Coaches Association of America Division I Men’s All-Northeast Region Second Team.
Jose Aguinaga, Rider University was named to the All-ECAC First Team along with 2015 MAAC Defensive Player of the Year, David Acuna Camacho, from Monmouth University. Camacho's teammate, and 2015 MAAC Goalkeeper of the Year, Eric Klenofsky, was named to the All-ECAC Second Team.
