Fairfield
During the month of December, the Fairfield women’s lacrosse team collected donations and went shopping for presents as part of the Adopt-a-Family program in Bridgeport. Some of the upperclassmen were then in charge of gathering all the donations and delivering them to the family. They had so much fun spreading the holiday spirit and joy to those less fortunate than them.
Iona
Members of the Women's Rowing took a trip to the Boys and Girls Club of New Rochelle to spend time and play board games with the children
Manhattan
Men's Lacrosse Team participated in the 2015 LAX Stache Madness organized by the HEADStrong Foundation. Players and coaches spent the month growing out their facial hair and raising funds for the Foundation. The HEADstrong Lacrosse Club was established in 2006 by HEADstrong Founder, Nicholas Colleluori and HEADstrong Supporters with a vision of empowering athletes to support the fight against cancer. The Club has established itself as a preeminent lacrosse organization that has grown nationally and is committed to developing student-athletes who serve as ambassadors to the HEADstrong mission.
Monmouth
On December 10th, Monmouth Athletics took part in the annual Schroth School Holiday Party, with Santa.
Saint Peter’s
Student-athletes at Saint Peter's donated money, which was then used to buy toys for the Angel Giving Tree. Every year, we collaborate with the Campus Ministry Office to donate these toys with the donations made by the student-athletes. We went shopping for the toys and then wrapped them with other volunteers from the University. We helped to wrap over 300 gifts.
Siena
Siena Women's Cross Country/Track went to the Ronald McDonald House to help cook.
