2015 MAAC Indoor Track & Field Championships Preview

EDISON, N.J. – The 2015 MAAC Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championships will take place Saturday, Feb. 21, at the New Balance Armory Track & Field Center in New York, New York. The championships’ events will showcase more than 250 competitors from eight MAAC institutions. Manhattan College serves as the co-host for this year’s championships.
The Monmouth University men’s indoor track and field team will be looking to take home its second-consecutive MAAC title. In 2015, the Hawks are led by top performers Ben Boyd (400m), Dylan Capwell (500m, 800m and 1000m), Khari Bowen (5000m), Jalen Walker (60m hurdles), Liam Vogt (long jump), Joseph Marini (triple jump), and Taylor Bernstein (shot put).
The Monmouth University women’s indoor track and field team will also be looking to earn its second-straight MAAC title. Led by Domoah Kutu-Akoi (60m and long jump), Tionna Garner (500m), and Jenna Cupp (800m and 1000m), the Hawks will be trying to repeat at conference champions.
The first championship field event begins at 3:45 p.m., followed by the first track event at 4:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $10 for students and $12 for general admission.
