Sydney Kligys was solid in the pool for the Purple Eagles this season. Kligys led Niagara at MAACs, winning the 100 butterfly as she finished with a time of 56.78 for a new NU record. The Lutherville, Md. native also broke the Niagara 50 freestyle record in the preliminary round with a time of 24.00 and finished sixth in the finals (24.24). At this year’s Zippy Invitational, the women's 200-yard medley relay of Kligys, Meredith Ricks, Margaret Byrne, and Julia Casolo also broke a team record (1:50.06) as well as the women's 200-yard freestyle relay of Annie Eckhardt, Casolo, Kligys and Ricks (1:36.95).
Ousmane Drame, Quinnipiac, Men’s Basketball, Forward, Sr., Boston, Mass.
Ousmane Drame averaged 20.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 blocks in two games last week. On Thursday night at Rider, Drame posted 20 points, nine rebounds and three assists, while shooting 58.3 percent (7-12) from the floor and 85.7 percent (6-7) from the free-throw line. On Saturday afternoon against Canisius, Drame finished with 20 points, seven rebounds and three blocks, shooting 53.8 percent (7-13) from the field and getting six more from the free-throw line (6-9). For the week, he shot 56.0 percent from the floor and 75.0 percent from the charity stripe. He collected his 12th and 13th career 20-point games.
