EDISON, N.J. – Two MAAC men’s lacrosse teams are receiving votes this week in the recent United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Coach's Poll. University of Detroit Mercy and Marist College are receiving votes in the national poll as both the Titans and Red Foxes sit just outside of the top 20, and are off to strong starts to the 2015 campaign.
The Titans are 2-1 on the season, after recording a pair of home wins over Ohio State (9-8) and Robert Morris (11-10), while also falling to Michigan on the road. Freshman attack Mark Anstead, the reigning MAAC Offensive Player of the Week, currently leads the team with five goals and six assists for 11 points.
The Red Foxes are 2-0 on the season with road victories over Air Force (7-6) and Binghamton (12-9). Senior attack Colin Joka leads the team in goals with five thus far, and has added an assist for six total points.
