2015 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Albany Region Teams Announced

EDISON, N.J. – The NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Committee announced today, the 64-team field for the 2015 NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship including the Albany Regional at the Times Union Center, which will be hosted by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference with co-host Siena College.
The top four seeds in the Albany Region include; No. 1 UConn (32-1), No. 2 Kentucky (23-9), No. 3 Louisville (25-6), and No. 4 California (23-9). Two-time defending champion UConn will start the tournament seeking a 10th national championship.
The remaining 12 teams in the region are; No. 5 Texas, No. 6 South Florida, No. 7 Dayton, No. 8 Rutgers, No. 9 Seton Hall, No. 10 Iowa State, No. 11 LSU, No. 12 Western Kentucky, No. 13 Wichita State, No. 14 BYU, No. 15 Tennessee State, and No. 16 St. Francis Brooklyn.
Games for the Albany Regional will be held Saturday, March 28 at 12:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. and Monday, March 30 at 7:00 p.m. The four regional winners will advance to the 2015 NCAA Women’s Final Four, April 5 and 7 in Tampa Bay, Fla. (Amalie Arena).
