Elena Bowman Named ECAC Player of the Week

EDISON, N.J. – Manhattan College’s Elena Bowman has been honored by the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) as Softball Division I Metro/Upstate Player of the Week.
Bowman continued her impressive start to the season, hitting .444 with three home runs and eight RBI in three games last week. After reaching base twice in the Jaspers’ 8-4 loss to Fairleigh Dickinson on Friday, she had three hits and five RBIs in a 15-6 win over Mount St. Mary’s on Sunday. Bowman had two home runs and a double against the Mountaineers, and she drove in a run in four consecutive plate appearances. Then in the Jaspers’ 8-0 win over Morgan State, Bowman belted her third home run of the day, a two-run blast to left field. She slugged 1.556 and scored four times in the three contests.
