Charlene Pohl Earned ECAC Honors

EDISON, N.J. – Freshman Charlene Pohl from Manhattan College has been named Corvias ECAC Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week in the Metro/Upstate region.
Pohl set meet and facility records in the heptathlon at the UTSA Team Challenge. She qualified for the ECAC Championships with her score of 4736 points. Sitting in second place after four events, Pohl opened day two with a personal-best mark of 5.94 meters (19 feet, six inches) in the long jump. With that effort, which bettered the ECAC qualifying standard, she took over first place.
The 2015 MAAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held May 2-3 at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, N.J.
