Litzell Named ECAC Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week

EDISON, N.J. – Sophomore Love Litzell from Manhattan College has been named Corvias ECAC Men's Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week in the Metro/Upstate region.
Litzell set the meet and facility record, while taking first in the hammer throw at the UTSA Team Challenge on Friday. His personal-best mark of 66.33 meters (217 feet, seven inches) was the fifth best effort in the NCAA so far this season. It also qualified him for the IC4A Championships and the NCAA East Preliminary Round, as well as the European Under-23 Championships.
The 2015 MAAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held May 2-3 at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, N.J.
