Driscoll Earns First ECAC Player of the Week Award

EDISON, N.J. – Quinnipiac graduate forward Val Driscoll was named Division I Women’s Basketball New England “Player of the Week” by the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC).
Driscoll guided the Bobcats to a 3-0 week, averaging 21.0 points, 10.7 rebounds and 3.3 blocks per game. The graduate student’s dominant week was highlighted by a career-high 28-point, 11-rebound performance while shooting 95 percent (19-for-20) from the charity stripe against Manhattan on Tuesday. She responded with 18 points, 11 rebounds and five blocks in just 18 minutes against Rider University. Driscoll concluded her monstrous week with 17 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks against Monmouth University.
The 2014-15 season culminates with the MAAC Basketball Championships at the Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y. March 5-9. Tickets can be purchased here.
