Marritta Gillcrease, Rider, Women's Basketball, Forward/Center, Sr., Pittsburgh, Pa.
A 96-game veteran for the Rider University women’s basketball team, Marritta Gillcrease leads Rider in blocked shots and rebounds and is currently in the top five in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference in both categories. Gillcrease has played in all 30 games this season, making 22 starts and she became only the third player in Rider history to pull down 20 rebounds against Maryland Baltimore County on December 18. A Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference All-Academic honoree, Gillcrease was nominated for the prestigious Allstate Goodworks award for her dedication to community service off the court and she graduates in May with a dual major in Business Administration and International Business.

Garcia finished second in the 100 fly at the MAAC Championships two weeks ago with a time of 49.87. The sophomore also helped the 400-medley relay team to a first-place finish with a time of 3:20.60 and also helped the 200-medley relay team to a second-place standing with a time of 1:30.92. Garcia also finished sixth at the ECAC Championships over the weekend in the 100 fly.
