EDISON, N.J. - The MAAC Men’s Tennis Player of the week is Fairfield University team captain Cameron Amyot. Allison Radde, team captain, from Fairfield University is the MAAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week.
The MAAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week is Cameron Amyot from Fairfield University.
Amyot helped the Stags pick up their first conference victoryof the year, over Saint Peter’s, with individual and doubles victories. At No. 3 singles, Cameron Amyot downed Jorge Rodriguez, 6-2, 6-0. At No. 1 doubles, Cameron Amyot was paired with Ofir Solomon and they defeated St. Peter’s Carlos Carrera and Daniil Ivanov, 8-5.
The MAAC Women’s Tennis Player of the week is Fairfield University’s Allison Radde. Radde is the team captain for the Stags and playing at No. 1 singles she beat Peacock’s Adina Halagian 7-5, 6-1. She also had victory in doubles play, teaming up with Karen Mckeough in No. 1 doubles to take down Halagian and Radovic, 8-3.
The 2015 MAAC Tennis Championships will be held on April 25 and 26 at the Mercer County Park Tennis Center in West Windsor, NJ.
