Monmouth Men's Indoor Track & Field Team Captures First IC4A Title

EDISON, N.J. – The Monmouth University Men’s Indoor Track and Field team took home first place out of 100 total schools at the IC4A Indoor Championships on Sunday at Boston University. The team totaled 58 points, besting Georgetown University by seven points.
The Hawks totaled 10 All-East honorees led senior Jalen Walker, who took home the gold medal in the 60-meter hurdles with a school record time of 7.90 seconds. Walker became Monmouth’s eighth IC4A indoor champion in school history. The Hawks also had a pair of silver medalists in sophomore Dylan Capwell and senior Andrew Langille. Capwell lowered his own school record in the 500-meter run with a time of 1:01.87, while Langille ran a 1:50.46 in the 800-meter run.
Capwell will be competing in the 800-meter run at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Randal Tyson Track Complex on the campus of the University of Arkansas. The event will stream live on ESPN3 at 7 p.m. on March 13 and 14 along with a delayed taping that will air on ESPNU on March 23 at 7 p.m.
