EDISON, N.J. – The 2015 MAAC Water Polo Championship will begin on April 25 in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., at Marist College's McCann Natatorium.

Regular season champions and number one-seed Marist College will take on fourth-seeded Villanova University in the semifinal round on Saturday, April 25. Also slated to play on Saturday in the semifinal match are the second-seeded Wagner College facing the third-seeded Iona College. Start times for the semifinal rounds are scheduled for 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm. On Sunday, April 26, there will be a consolation game scheduled for 12:00 pm, followed by the Championship Final at 2:00 pm to be played between the winners from Saturday. All of the games will be available for the fans to watch via MAAC.TV.

The second seeded Wagner Seahawks are trying to recapture the title after beating  Marist in the championship game last year 9-7. After falling short and finishing as MAAC runner-up last season, the top-seeded Red Foxes will look to take home their first MAAC Water Polo championship since 2010. Third seeded Iona looks to regain momentum as it has won three of the last four MAAC water polo championships. Villanova, who holds the 4th seed, looks for its first championship berth since 2005.

The winner of the 2015 MAAC Women's Water Polo Championship gets an automatic berth to be in a play in game in the NCAA Division I Women's Water Polo Championship, which will be held May 8-10 at the Avery Aquatic Center in Stanford, California on the campus of the Stanford University.
