Dupree, Horschig, Litzell and Johnson Earn Outdoor Track and Field Awards

EDISON, N.J.- Love Litzell and Doreen Horschig of Manhattan College, Ahmier Dupree and Taylor Johnson of Monmouth University are this week's Outdoor Track and Field award winners.
Dupree won two sprints at Princeton this weekend, earning first place in the 100 and the 200 meter dash. He posted a time of 10.72 seconds in the 100 and followed that up with a time of 21.70 in the 200 to help Monmouth to a second place finish.
Horschig finished first in the 100 meter hurdles for the second consecutive week at the Rider Invitational on Saturday. Running into the wind, she registered a 14.34-second clocking.
Litzell won the hammer throw at two different meets in Arizona on Friday. In the afternoon, he competed at Arizona State’s Sun Angel Classic and got out to a distance of 64.66 meters (212 feet, two inches). The last time Manhattan attended the Sun Angel Classic was in 1990, when the Jaspers also won the men’s hammer throw. Litzell then competed in the Mesa Challenge on Friday night and had a toss of 64.86 m (212’9) to earn his second victory of the day.
Johnson won the discus with a throw of 156’5” at Princeton on Saturday, while also taking second in the hammer throw with a toss of 171’9”. She helped MU earn a second place finish in the event.
The 2015 MAAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held May 2-3 at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, N.J.
