EDISON, N.J. – Jonas Kuwert a junior from Quinnipiac University is the MAAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week. The MAAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week is Quinnipiac University senior Jacqueline Raynor.
Jonas Kuwert went 4-0 this past week, playing in both No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles in every match. In the Bobcats match against Rider University, Kuwert knocked of Chanton Phan 6-4, 6-0 in singles play. He also teamed up with junior Luke Roser to defeat Riders No.1 singles duo 8-1.
Jacqueline Raynor went an impressive 6-0 this past week playing all her singles matches at the No. 2 spot. When the Bobcats took on the Stony Brook Seawolves, Raynor captured the only singles victory, besting Smerget 6-2, 6-4.
The 2015 MAAC Tennis Championships will be held on April 25 and 26 at the Mercer County Park Tennis Center in West Windsor, NJ.
