Saint Peter's Captures Second-Straight MAAC Men's Golf Championship Title

LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL. – The Saint Peter’s University Peacocks were able to hold on and win their second-straight MAAC Men’s Golf Championship on Sunday, April 26 at Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The Peacocks entered the final round with a 17-stroke advantage over Iona College, and finished with a three-day total of 885.
Iona wrapped up the championship with a score of 894, followed by Fairfield in third at 904. Monmouth claimed fourth at 907, while Rider and Siena tied for fifth with identical scores of 918. Manhattan posted a final score of 927, good for seventh place, and Canisius and Niagara tied for eighth at 951.
Iona’s Kevin Kramarski and Saint Peter’s Nicholas Dilio tied for first on the individual leaderboard through 54 holes, going even on the weekend (216). A one-hole playoff was needed to determine the recipient of the 30th McLeod Memorial Award, presented to the individual champion. Kramarski, also the 2015 MAAC Rookie of the Year, topped Dilio by one stroke to be crowned champion.
Saint Peter’s head coach Pete Falloon was voted the 2015 MAAC Men’s Coach of the Year, winning the accolade for the second-straight year.
The NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championships Selections will be announced on Monday, May 4 at 10 a.m., live via the Golf Channel.
