Huggins-Filozof, Frye, Bernstein, and Robbins Earn Last Outdoor Track and Field Awards

EDISON, N.J.- Graham Huggins-Filozof, Kate Frye, and Taylor Bernstein of Monmouth University and Marisa Robbins of Manhattan College are this week's Outdoor Track and Field award winners.
Huggins-Filozof won the 1500 with a time of 3:57.58 ahead of 57 competitors in the field at Lehigh this past weekend.
Frye anchored the women’s 4x400 this past weekend that returned home event winners, running the relay in 3:53.89. This marks the seventh time since 2006 that the Monmouth women have won their section of the 4x400 relay at Penn Relays.
Bernstein won the shot put this weekend at Lehigh, winning it at 57’2.25”. Bernstein also won the discus with a throw of 173’7.75”, both at Lehigh after throwing 53’ for sixth in the college men's discus and finished eighth in the college men's shot put with a throw of 56'10.75" at the Penn Relays earlier in the weekend.
Robbins broke the school record in the pole vault for the second consecutive week at the Lions Invitational on Saturday. She added 15 centimeters to her own record with a leap of 3.90 meters (12 feet, 9½ inches). Robbins won the competition by 45 centimeters.
The 2015 MAAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held May 2-3 at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, N.J.
