Staten Island, N.Y. – The Wagner women's water polo team ranked 18th in the latest Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) National Top 20 Poll, announced by the league offices.
The Seahawks moved up one spot to #18 after four consecutive weeks in the 19th spot. The Green & White garnered 14 points in the voting process after a 2-0 week which included a 10-8 victory over Marist in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championship.
The Green & White have marquee victories over Long Beach State, San Diego State, Pacific and Santa Clara on the season and five victories over CWPA National Top 20 members in total.
Wagner is back in action Saturday, May 2 at 1:00 p.m. as they square-off with #9 (T) Princeton in a 2015 NCAA Tournament Play-In Game.
The contest will be held on the campus of Princeton University at DeNunzio Pool.
