2015 MAAC Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships Set to Begin This Weekend

EDISON, N.J. – The 2015 MAAC Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by Monmouth University, will take place Saturday and Sunday, May 2-3, in West Long Branch, New Jersey. The championships’ events will showcase more than 250 competitors from nine MAAC institutions.
The Monmouth University men’s outdoor track and field team will be looking to take home its second-consecutive MAAC title. In 2015, the Hawks are led by Ben Boyd (Sprinter), Ahmier Dupree (Sprinter), Dylan Capwell (MID Distance), Jalen Walker (Hurdles), and Taylor Bernstein (Thrower).
The Monmouth University women’s outdoor track and field team will also be looking to earn its second-straight MAAC title. The Hawks are led by Kate Frye (Sprinter/Hurdles), Kelsey Reese (Thrower) and Taylor Johnson (Thrower),
The first championship field event begins at 1:00 p.m., followed by the first track event at 4:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $15 for single session adult, while single sessions for Student/Youth/Senior are $5. All-session passes (2-Day Package) can be purchased for $25. Youth groups consisting of 20+ individuals can purchase tickets at $2 each.
The 2015 MAAC Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championships Awards Show will be streamed live on MAAC.TV, on Sunday, May 3 at 4:15 p.m.
