Feldman, Scarcello & Wasserman Earn ECAC Player of the Week Honors

EDISON, N.J. – Quinnipiac University freshman Brian Feldman was named Division I Men’s Lacrosse New England “Offensive Player of the Week” by the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC), while Marist College senior Dave Scarcello was named Metro/Upstate “Defensive Player of the Week” and Monmouth University freshman Bryce Wasserman was named Metro/Upstate “Rookie of the Week”.
Feldman paced the Quinnipiac attack last week, totaling seven points in a 1-1 week for the Bobcats. He scored six goals and tallied an assist. Feldman carried the bulk of the load offensively on Tuesday night, scoring a career-high five goals at Stony Brook. He scored once in the second quarter, once in the third and two in the fourth. On Saturday, Feldman had a goal and an assist, scoring the game-tying goal with 10 minutes left in Quinnipiac’s comeback victory at Manhattan. Feldman also scooped up four ground balls on the week.
Scarcello made 11 saves in Marist’s 8-7 win over Detroit on April 4, which helped the Red Foxes clinch a conference tournament berth. He held Detroit scoreless in the second quarter and allowed just one goal on eight shots in the fourth quarter. Scarcello also contributed a pair of ground balls and two caused turnovers in the victory.
Wasserman collected a team-high 12 points in Monmouth’s 1-1 week, with a team-best nine goals and three assists, while attempting 16 shots, 11 of which were on frame. At Lafayette, the attackman added three goals and two assists. Monmouth fell to Lafayette, 8-7, and secured a 10-7 victory over Canisius.
