The Canisius athletic department and the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) announced today that the 2015 MAAC Women’s Lacrosse Championship game, set for Sunday, May 3 at the Demske Sports Complex, will be televised live on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel (channel 323) across New York state and on ESPN3 elsewhere.
The 2015 MAAC Women’s Lacrosse Championship game will start at noon on Sunday, with the winner earning the conference’s automatic berth into the 2015 NCAA Division I Women’s Lacrosse Championship.
Canisius earned the right to host this year’s MAAC Championship tournament after the Golden Griffins secured the MAAC regular-season title with a perfect 8-0 record. The semifinal round of the 2015 MAAC Women’s Lacrosse Championship will be held at the Demske Sports Complex Friday, May 1, with No. 2 seed Fairfield playing No. 3 seed Monmouth at 4:30 p.m., followed by Canisius taking on No. 5 seed Marist at 8 p.m. Both of those games will be broadcast live through MAAC.tv.
