MAAC Announces 2015-16 Administrative Fellows

EDISON, N.J. – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) announced the appointments of Erika Seagren, Alexis Wayne, and Colby Wehner as the conference's administrative fellows for the 2015-16 academic year.
"We are very excited to bring Erika, Alexis, and Colby on board," said MAAC Commissioner Rich Ensor. "With their knowledge of the MAAC and experiences as student-athletes, we look forward to seeing what they bring to the table next year as administrators."
Seagren, a 2015 graduate of Siena College, earned her bachelor's degree in management. While at Siena, Seagren was a member of the Saints' swimming and diving team, earning co-captain status and MAAC All-Academic honors. She also represented the swimming and diving team on Siena's Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC). Most recently, Seagren interned in marketing and events for the Siena College Alumni Relations Department. There, she promoted and executed fundraising events, used social media to raise awareness to promotional items, and wrote articles pertaining to Alumni Relations. Previously, Seagren served as a development intern for Comcast-Spectacor & Flyers Charities, a game day staff intern for the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, and an athletic development intern for the Siena College Athletic Department.
Wayne earned her bachelor's degree in sport management (2013) and her master's degree in sport administration (2015) from Niagara University. While at Niagara, Wayne was a member of the Purple Eagles' softball team, earning multiple MAAC All-Academic honors. Currently, Wayne is a ticket and marketing graduate assistant at Niagara where she is responsible for group sales for men's hockey and men's and women's basketball. She also assists with the rebranding of the Kids Club, manages in-game promotional activities at various sporting events, oversees a staff of student interns and volunteers, and develops new marketing plans. Wayne's prior experiences include serving as a student recruiting assistant for the football program at Bowling Green State University, volunteering at Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans, and interning in athletic communications in the Niagara University Athletic Department.
Wehner, a 2015 graduate of Canisius College, earned his bachelor's degree in English. While at Canisius, Wehner was a member of the Golden Griffins' lacrosse team all four years. He also represented the lacrosse team on the Canisius Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC). During his time at Canisius, Wehner worked as a sideline reporter at the 2014 MAAC Women's Volleyball Championships. He also served as a tutor for the Canisius Tutoring Center, where he conducted writing conferences with students to identify weaknesses in organization, development and style.
While at the MAAC, the three will provide administrative support to the Championship and New Media staffs, attend MAAC championships, special events and meetings, assist with MAAC promotional tournament events, serve as the main media contact for selected MAAC sports during each season, create videos, assist in live streaming of events, and create and distribute graphics for social media accounts.
