EDISON, NJ - Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Commissioner Richard J. Ensor, Esq. has been reappointed to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Board of Directors, the WBCA office announced this week.

Ensor has been reappointed to represent the Collegiate Commissioners Association.

“I am pleased to continue my service on the WBCA Board of Directors,” notes Rich Ensor who is completing his 26th year as MAAC Commissioner.  “Under Executive Director Danielle Donehew the WBCA has underwent a transformative first year which has included developing a forward looking strategic plan built around membership leadership development and program enhancements, a revised governance bylaw designed to make the association more inclusive to all elements of the coaching community and the game of women’s basketball, and enhanced personnel and operating guidelines that reflect the reality of today’s business environment.  With such dynamic leadership it is rewarding to provide my service to the WBCA.”

In April, WBCA President Sue Semrau presented Commissioner Ensor with The President's Award during the Fifth Annual WBCA Awards Show at the NCAA Women’s Basketball Final Four in Tampa. The award is presented to an individual selected by the WBCA president who has given a tireless commitment to the development of women's basketball.

The WBCA Board of Directors develops policies, procedures and regulations for the operation of the organization. It also monitors the organization's financial health, programs and overall performance and provides the executive director with the resources necessary to meet the needs of those the organization serves.
