Siena to Host 2015 MAAC Volleyball Championship

EDISON, NJ – The defending Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) volleyball champion, Siena College, will be the host of the 2015 MAAC Volleyball Championship at Alumni Recreational Center (ARC) in Loudonville, NY on the campus of Siena.
“The MAAC is excited to return to Siena College with an expanded six-team championship format for the 2015 MAAC Volleyball Championship,” notes MAAC Commissioner Rich Ensor. “Siena has been a perennial volleyball power in the MAAC and it will be interesting to see the new format hosted in the renovated Alumni Recreational Center where the Saints have had so much success under the leadership of Coach Garvey Pierre.”
The top two seeds in the field, will be rewarded a first round bye. The championship will open up with first round on Friday, November 20 with the No. 3 seed facing the No. 6 seed at 5pm, followed by the No. 4 seed taking on the No. 5 seed at 8pm. On Saturday, November 21 at 5pm, the No. 1 seed with face the winner of match number two, and the No. 2 seed will take on the winner of match number one at 8pm in the semifinal round. The championship will conclude on Sunday, November 22 at 2pm with the championship final. All contest during the 2015 MAAC Volleyball Championship will be broadcast live via MAAC.TV.
“We are thrilled to bring the championship to Loudonville,” said Iona College Director of Athletics and volleyball committee chair Rick Cole. “Siena is a terrific host. We are looking forward to a competitive championship of high level volleyball.”
Tickets will be available for the championship through the MAAC and TicketLeap. Adult all session tickets will be $30, adult single session tickets are $15, and students/children/senior citizens will be $5. Group sales will also be available for the championship.
The Volleyball Championship Awards Show will be streamed for free on MAAC.TV on Thursday, November 19, 6pm.
