John Egan - Men's Soccer - Monmouth - Smithtown, NY
A fixture in the Monmouth midfield the last three years, Egan has started all 44 games played in the Blue & White. He's scored a pair of goals and dished out five assists in that time, including a goal and two assists in the Hawks' most-recent win over Howard on Sunday night. Last season, Egan scored the equalizer in the 89th minute of a double-overtime victory at Albany. A mathematics major, Egan is a two-time MAAC All-Academic Team honoree.
Courtney Shaw - Volleyball - Marist - Centennial, CO
Senior Courtney Shaw has slammed 51 kills in the Red Foxes’ first six matches this season, which is second highest on the team. The 2015 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Co-Preseason Player of the Year was also named one of two team captains prior to the season.
Shaw has been selected to the MAAC All-Academic Team the past two years and also earned spots on the conference’s All-First and All-Championship Teams in 2014. She is a volleyball representative on Marist’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee and will earn her degree in applied mathematics at the end of the 2015-16 academic year.
